First Lady Michelle Obama and Second Lady Jill Biden will attend game one of the World Series on Wednesday night in New York, where the Yankees host the Philadelphia Phillies, the White House announced.
The first game of the Series is being dedicated by Major League Baseball to U.S. military veterans returning from service in Iraq and Afghanistan. Before the game, the women will visit the James J. Peters Veterans Administration Medical Center in the Bronx with some members of the Yankees and various Major League Baseball executives.
Mrs. Obama and Mrs. Biden are going to the game to highlight their work on helping military families. A public service announcement the women made about helping vets and their families will be shown at the game.
