Today's pulse-taking on the New Jersey gubernatorial contest: Rasmussen Reports in a poll conducted Oct. 29 has Republican Chris Christie ahead of Gov. Jon Corzine 46 percent to 43 percent with 8 percent for Chris Daggett and 3 percent undecided. The Christie margin is within the poll's 3 point margin of error.
The most recent polls before this one:
Quinnipiac (Oct. 20-26): Corzine 43 percent, Christie 38 percent, Daggett 13 percent.
Rasmussen (Oct. 26): Christie 46 percent, Corzine 43 percent, Daggett 7 percent.
Public Policy Polling (Oct. 23-26): Christie 42 percent, Corzine 38 percent, Daggett 13 percent.
Suffolk University (Oct. 22-25): Corzine 42 percent, Christie 33 percent, Daggett 20 percent.
More polls due out Monday, the day before election day.
