Election Day is mercifully bringing to a close the avalanche of polls on the governors' races in New Jersey and Virginia and the upstate New York House race. But here's one more: Republican Bob McDonnell leads Democrat Creigh Deeds in Virginia by 58 percent to 40 percent with 2 percent undecided, according to a SurveyUSA poll conducted Oct. 30 - Nov. 1.
Republicans also have comfortable leads in the other two statewide races, for lieutenant governor and attorney general.
