It's billed as "The Hottest Ticket in Political History:" A debate between Bill Clinton and George W. Bush at Radio City Music Hall. The event will happen in February as part of MSG Entertainment's third annual "Minds That Move The World" speakers series. The former presidents will debate topics "ranging from the economy, to foreign policy, to the current administration." From the press release:
It hasn't been announced who the moderator will be.The series will be formatted to allow for President Clinton and President Bush to each present their thoughts on a wide range of important current events and national issues through a moderated question and answer period during which the moderator can elicit information and insights into particularly pertinent topics of the day.
The ongoing series has hosted some prominent political names, but it's safe to say Clinton vs. Bush will be the biggest. Past events have pitted Ann Coulter against Bill Maher and Karl Rove against James Carville.
The public can suggest questions and debate topics at the MSG web site.
Tickets go on sale Sunday and range from $60 to $1,250.

They've got to be kidding! Bush debating anyone, let alone an intelligent Rhodes scholar like Bill Clinton, is utterly ludicrous. His mind couldn't move his bowels, let alone the world. Well, come to think of it, he or rather his puppeteer, Cheney, nearly moved the world to the brink of global devastation.

How funny! I think Clinton will have to dumb it down just so poor little Bush can keep up. But I am very interested as the only way to get the truth out of any politician is to talk to him after he is off the payroll of the corporations and lobbies that got them there. At the very least, it will be funny, if not informative.

Should be interesting. Obviously Clinton is a lot smarter and a much better speaker, but I doubt this is going to be a 'Debate.' Billed as a debate but more for ratings. My guess is it will almost be a discussion on a wide range of topics that our country is currently facing.

Lyn what are YOU smoking? Clinton is a Rhodes Scholar. Bush barely made it through Yale and can't string together an intelligent sentence even with the help of a tele-promt. PLEASE!

If you use common sense you would realize that it was the Clinton administration that caused 9/11 to happen. It was the Clinton administration that disarmed this country ,comander and chief he was not.

Any idea where President Bush went to College at, I believe he went to Yale. Pretty prestiguise school if you ask me, and he was a Fighter Pilot! Just Saying! President Clinton has got a good argument coming his way. It will be good. GO BUSH!

So is Clinton smarter based on that he couldn't make up his mind and didn't do anything? He couldn't pass healthcare (not that we want it), he couldn't settle the Bosnia issue, he knew about Obama Bin Laden and didn't do anything when he actually knew his location, didn't know how to keep Monica quiet, on and on. Oh sure, he was a smooth talker and for that we liked him. But on getting anything accomplished, he was only in for the ride.
