Sarah Palin is apparently trying to skirt the spotlight on a trip to Wisconsin this week,
CNN's Political Ticker reports. Palin has banned all media from her speech at a right-to-life event Friday night, and attendees will not be allowed to bring cellphones, cameras or other recording devices into the Milwaukee auditorium that will host the gathering.
The speech comes just a week and a half before the release of Palin's highly anticipated memoir, "Going Rogue," after which she will begin a nationwide book tour and sit down for major interviews with Oprah Winfrey and Barbara Walters. A recent Gallup poll suggests that only one in three Americans would seriously consider voting for Palin in a future presidential election.
Our New Approach to Comments
In an effort to encourage the same level of civil dialogue among Politics Daily’s readers that we expect of our writers –
a “civilogue,” to use the term coined by PD’s Jeffrey Weiss – we are requiring commenters to use their AOL or AIM screen names to submit a comment, and we are reading all comments before publishing them. Personal attacks (on writers, other readers, Nancy Pelosi, George W. Bush, or anyone at all) and comments that are not productive additions to the conversation will not be published, period, to make room for a discussion among those with ideas to kick around.
