Sarah Palin is apparently trying to skirt the spotlight on a trip to Wisconsin this week, CNN's Political Ticker reports. Palin has banned all media from her speech at a right-to-life event Friday night, and attendees will not be allowed to bring cellphones, cameras or other recording devices into the Milwaukee auditorium that will host the gathering.
The speech comes just a week and a half before the release of Palin's highly anticipated memoir, "Going Rogue," after which she will begin a nationwide book tour and sit down for major interviews with Oprah Winfrey and Barbara Walters. A recent Gallup poll suggests that only one in three Americans would seriously consider voting for Palin in a future presidential election.
