On Turkey Day, W'UPpers Ria Misra, Bonnie Goldstein, Bonnie Erbe and I send such half-hearted thanks to the White House that you'd almost think this first year hadn't gone that well. (We're all grateful for our Politics Daily readers, however, and wish you all a wonderful holiday.)

Giving thanks to the government on Thanksgiving day? That is just sad, very, very, sad. This speaks volumes about how libs think and what they believe. I used to think that some of the rhetoric on the right was a bit over the top, at least in form. But apparently it's correct in substance as well.

More meaningless ,bias rhetoric from partisans who have no objective other than their agenda. At least I can say I hve voted across parties based on an individuals qualifications versus their party affiliation. I wonder if these kool aid drinkers could ever do that?

Some of you are just so off the mark. You blame Pres. Obama for EVERYTHING. How can he be totally responsible for the deficit? Unemployment? Housing Market? When he took office LESS than a year ago they were already in the toliet. So stop with the page long reteric and say something that is actually true. Did he run or overhauling heathcare?? Yes, I think he did. Do alot of people want him to succeed, YES they do. It was time for a change, this country has taken alot of off course turns in the last 8 years. We are ready for a CHANGE. If you move to Canada that might help us out.

blah blah blah. He has done more damage in 10 months than any previous president did in their entire term. I just hope the clean up won't take long after he is out of the White House.

Definition of Politically Correct. The following is the 2007 winning entry from an annual contest at Texas A&M calling for the most appropriate definition of a contemporary term. This year's term was Political Correctness. The winner wrote, "Political Correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end."

ok again
the Big ZERO the Pacific President begged, and begged, and begged to take this on, and did so of his own free will.
and anyone with real integrity, who had prepared themself to do this job, and who was an adult, would not waste time blaming others, but would buckle down and find real solutions.
they would not keep throwing money at the problems, hoping they will just go away.
they would not bow to anyone, not anyone for that shows a sign of weakness, and subservience, no president should ever show to anyone, not anyone.
nor would or should they ever apologize for this GREAT NATION, but should always support and defend it.
no your excuse that he inheritied this mess, is not true. he asked for it,
for the last two years of Bush's administration, the congress, with a democratic majority, and headed by Fancy Nancy Pelosi, helped create this mess, which included then Senator Obama,
and he gave speeches telling anyone, and you appear to be one, that would believe him that he had all the answers.
and here we are a year later and he does not have even one correct answer much less all the answers.
so the days of putting the blame on others is over, got it over.
this man is responsible for the deep deep hole we are now in. and he needs to accept that responsibility, and so do people like you.
and so you know
I am a democrat.

Bush kept us safe? Notice that they didn't call this a 'terrorist attack" even though it happened on Bush's watch? Los Angeles airport shooting kills 3
July 5, 2002 Posted: 3:37 AM EDT (0737 GMT) Hesham Mohamed Hadayet
LOS ANGELES, California (CNN) -- A gunman opened fire Thursday at Los Angeles International Airport while standing in line at the ticket counter of Israel's El Al Airlines, officials said, killing two and wounding four others before an airline security officer shot him dead.
Authorities identified the gunman as 41-year-old Hesham Mohamed Hadayet, who came to the United States from Egypt in 1992 and had been living in Irvine, California, for the last two years.
Hadayet was not a U.S. citizen but had a "green card" that allowed him to work in the U.S., authorities said. The gunman's identity was obtained through fingerprints and records on file with the state Department of Motor Vehicles, which had issued Hadayet a license to drive a limousine, the FBI said.
Hadayet's attack occurred on his birthday. According to his driver's license, he was born July 4, 1961. Hadayet was married with at least one child, authorities said.

Guess what? IT IS THANKGSIVING! The stock market is up 60% since President Obama got handed the worst economy since the great Depression. Oh, yes..and the latest unemployment figures are down for the first time this year as the investment in our economy is beginning to show results. And instead of the Healthcare companies rationing healthcare to only those who can afford it, everyone will be entitled to healthcare...whether it be from a public option or a private insurance company. So...you should all be grateful this thanksgiving that we don't have neocons like Palin and Beck running this country. Instead, we have a thoughtful President who isn't a reactionary...but thinks thing through before acting precipitously. And does anyone really thing that ANYONE could have repaired in 10 months the damage that G.W. Bush wrought on this great nation? Give him a chance..the Republicans should assist Obama and not obstruct his every move over petty politics.

The suspect, identified as Munir Muthana of 700 South Plymouth Street, Rochester (a convenience store), faces five counts of second-degree assault, DWI and reckless driving. Six people were injured in the incident.
When arrested after a brief chase, the suspect reportedly made several statements, including “The Muslims will fix this country.” The Northeast Intelligence Network is closely following this incident.
