Congress needs to collect the taxes and then decide how they should be spent. There is no correlation between taxes collects and money spent. Both parties in Congress need to: stop deficit spending. put the dollar back on the gold standard to stop this economic free for all. pay off the national debt. audit The Fed. replace the IRS with a FairTax.org to put a stop to social engineering via tax policy. and then they can make whatever reforms their constituents want and need within the above confines. simple!
