Sen. James Inhofe (R-Okla.) has called global warming "the greatest hoax ever perpetrated on the American people." On CNN this morning, Inhofe said that the recent e-mail scandal involving scientists possibly rigging some of their findings on global warming proves he was right. "Every day something new comes out that has really, totally debunked the science behind the whole thing they're in Copenhagen for," Inhofe said of the two-week global climate change summit, which began yesterday.
The senator also explained why he's going to Copenhagen next week, even though he does not believe that climate change is man-made.
"I had envisioned Barbara Boxer and maybe John Kerry and some others would go and make [other countries] think that we're going to pass climate change legislation," Inhofe told CNN's Kieran Chetry. "I want to make sure they know it's dead and it's not going to pass the United States Senate. It's not even close."
