Blunt is seen favorably by 50 percent of voters and unfavorably by 43 percent with 7 percent undecided. Carnahan is viewed favorably by 51 percent and unfavorably by 43 percent with 6 percent undecided.
Missourians oppose the health care reform plan advocated by President Obama and congressional Democrats by 57 percent to 40 percent. Rasmussen says Carnahan has a big lead among those who favor the health proposal and a 2-to-1 edge among voters who are only somewhat opposed to the plan. But Blunt has a big lead among the 47 percent who say they "strongly" oppose the plan.
