Sarah Palin Signs Multi-Year Deal with Fox News Channel

Sarah Palin has signed a multi-year contract to become a contributor to the Fox News Channel, the New York Times reports. Financial details were not disclosed, but the deal could be announced officially as early as Monday afternoon.

Palin will not have her own program, but will contribute to existing Fox shows and will host an occasional series similar to Oliver North's "War Stories." The part-time nature of the contract will allow her plenty of time for other pursuits.

The announcement confirms long-standing suspicions that Palin was in talks with the cable network, where it was presumed she might go after resigning as governor of Alaska.
