When the Republicans Senators have no intention to compromise on anything important and will only say NO regardless of compromises from the Democrats, the Democrats need to go their own way. The Republican Party is NOT interested in help the general public, only their rich campaign donors. The Senate needs to change the rules and move on with the Republicans.

Yes, the race is on! I implore each and every one of you to dedicate yourself to campaign for those that support the constitution and freedom of choice in America. Your rights are at stake here. Decisions on Cap and Trade, gun control, what is taught in your children's schools, gay rights, global warming, and citizens having to purchase their medical care from the government are some of the upcoming votes that face our representatives. Get out there and educate your friends and neighbors on what is happening to our freedoms. Get on the phone and call your congressmen and senators to let them know how you feel ... its your right as an American Citizen. At least for the time being.

To coolade43, It is not the public in general who are racist, but you, because you keep bringing up race as an issue. For the vast majority of Americans, we are well beyond the race issue with this President. Rather, we are judging him based on his actions, what he has done to help or hurt the country. At this point Americans don't care about the color of the President's skin, they care about the level of effectiveness of his policies, and how they impact their personal situations and the future of this country. Stop beating the dead horse of race, it just makes you look bad. While racism is still an issue in society, it is NOT the issue with this president. Those who are against the policies of this President, or any President, have the right, in fact they have the duty, to speak out against those policies that they think are harmful to the future of this country.
