Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's political action committee collected $1.4 million in the second half of last year, demonstrating that she is a capable fund-raiser as supporters consider her possible bid for the presidency in 2012.
For all of 2009, Sarah PAC, as her committee is called, raised $2.1 million, banking $900,000 of it at year's end, the
Washington Post reported.
"We are thrilled," Palin senior adviser Meg Stapleton said. "Common sense Americans know the direction we need to take this country and that Sarah Palin will be instrumental in taking us there this year ."
Our New Approach to Comments
In an effort to encourage the same level of civil dialogue among Politics Daily’s readers that we expect of our writers –
a “civilogue,” to use the term coined by PD’s Jeffrey Weiss – we are requiring commenters to use their AOL or AIM screen names to submit a comment, and we are reading all comments before publishing them. Personal attacks (on writers, other readers, Nancy Pelosi, George W. Bush, or anyone at all) and comments that are not productive additions to the conversation will not be published, period, to make room for a discussion among those with ideas to kick around.
