During a briefing in the White House press room Tuesday, administration spokesman Robert Gibbs held up his hand and revealed a shopping list scribbled onto his palm -- "eggs, milk and bread" -- along with a few other notes.
"I wrote down hope and change just in case I forgot that," Gibbs told groaning reporters.
It was a not-so-subtle jab at former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, who was caught consulting notes on her palm during a question-and-answer session at the National Tea Party Convention Saturday night. Photos showed Palin had scrawled "energy," "tax cuts" and "lift American spirits" on her hand.
