It's well known that President Obama has got game, having played hoops growing up in Hawaii, recreationally while in college and law school, and in pick-ups games on the playgrounds of Chicago when working as a community organizer. He's even promised to replace the White House bowling alley with a basketball court. Sarno proposed that Obama and Brown play two-on-two, with the two men teaming up with their "best female basketball player." An obvious choice for Brown would be his daughter, Ayla, who is a star player at Boston College.
Thomas Walsh, a spokesman for Sarno, told the Herald that the White House was considering the invitation, but Brown's office responded immediately "and they've indicated the senator is definitely in and the ball is in the president's court."
