GOP's Brady Leads Democrat Quinn by 10 in Illinois Governor's Race

Illinois State Sen. Bill Brady leads Democratic Gov. Pat Quinn by 47 percent to 37 percent, with 6 percent preferring someone else and 9 percent undecided, according to a Rasmussen Reports poll conducted March 8. The margin of error is 4.5 points.

Quinn is struggling with a 51 percent unfavorable rating from voters while 44 percent see him favorably. Brady is seen favorably by 51 percent, with 30 percent regarding him unfavorably and 19 percent unsure.

Quinn gets the support of 62 percent of his fellow Democrats, compared with Brady's 82 percent backing among Republicans. Voters unaffiliated with either party favor Brady by 59 percent to 18 percent, with 5 percent preferring someone else and 18 percent undecided.


Conservatives back Brady by about the same margins as liberals support Quinn. But Brady leads among moderates by 45 percent to 38 percent, with 8 percent preferring someone else and 10 percent undecided.
