How about working on the prejudice associated with over weight people in our society?Hmmm. Why is it there is no law protecting anyone over weight from not attaining work? Any minority is protected whether you are gay, black, hispanic, handicapped or whatever...there are laws that protect your rights, but if you're fat, you're just a lazy, slob of a person who is obviously incapable of performing a job apparently. Is our society "over weight" compared to others? Yes. Do we have a huge number of anorexics because of society's views on what is attractive in this age? Yes. Are "fat" children bullied as much if not more than even gay children? Absolutely! Do vegetables cost more than most other foods? Yes (gee, how about working on changing this?) Parents don't need food police as much as they need affordable options for their family's dinner table! And Michelle Obama needs to focus on actually helping in positive ways instead of making life more difficult by increasing the cost of certain food products that she deems are only consumed by fatties! It is obvious that neither of the Obama's have a problem with weight issues and never have, you can tell by their body type. Good genes? Active lifestyles? Good chef in the white house? How about all of the above! Several over weight parents are inactive or have over weight genetics and low metabolisms and have experienced job discrimination which means they are not economically doing well. Mind you, they aren't sitting on their couch eating bon bons all day! It's not just about what you eat! Change the media! Help end eating disorders in both directions, those that don't eat and those that may eat too much. Show people in the media that aren't too damn skinny, nor too big...just "healthy" people with actual muscle tone and curves! Sorry Michelle, that will never be you, it's just not in the cards!
