One of the biggest questions that remains unanswered is the rate at which oil is still spilling into the Gulf of Mexico. Two initial flow-rate estimates pegged the output as between 12,000 and 19,000 barrels per day and 12,000 to 25,000 barrels per day. (A barrel of oil contains 42 gallons.) Allen stated that "once we know the production flow, and we seal off the vents [on the cap] and assess the leakage . . . we will have a hard and fast number."BP's has limited financial obligations these were set up by our government after the VALDEZ spill
simple as that they are just not telling you yet .The rather talk about ass kicking . American public is paying for the clean up.Think a little BP gets sued
what do they do ? raise prices ? government pays what do they do raise taxes ??nope they print more worthless money backed by the woulds biggest debtor nation in history we are still a super power when it comes to how much we owe
when dealing with these type of drilling and explorations acedents are bound to happen with no way to determan the outcome such as in coal mineing accadents are aye other type of construction one canot blame another all we can do is our best to clean them up and figure out how to avoid another we all need it and use it so quit pointing fingers and get the job done
