Debrahlee Lorenzana: A Double Take on Those Double D's

I really wanted to like Debrahlee Lorenzana. Well not like, per se, but definitely support her -- sort of. The 33-year-old hot mom who allegedly got fired for being too sexy for the bank where she worked could have been on the front lines of the new millennium sexual harassment debate. Because sexual harassment ain't what it used to be.
Gone are the days of "Mad Men" -- which despite being a kick-ass escape from reality -- is not a reality in which I'd ever want to work. These days harassment is hardly as obvious as a hard pinch on the behind or a condescending term of endearment in the boardroom. These days, some men in management apparently think it's OK to tell a hard-working woman that her hard-earned designer heels have no place in the workplace. And for pulling back that curtain, Debrahlee Lorenzana, I thank you. But for being a wacky "fameball" who clearly loves the limelight and wants her "tits on a stick" to point right to it, Debrahlee, I just can't take you right now.
Recently, Gawker.com uncovered a long-forgotten documentary/infomercial/horror movie, "Plastic Surgery: Transforming Lives," starring Ms. Lorenzana. Lorenzana's clip is part of a 4-part Discovery Health documentary called "Plastic Surgery New York Style," which set out to follow the "triumphs and transformations" of plastic surgery patients. The channel very ingeniously plans to re-air this Saturday at 7 p.m. EST. Click play below to watch a clip:
In her role, a 26-year-old Debrahlee (who is now 33) is a single mom looking for love in all the rich places. "Debrahlee Lorenzana is two women trapped in one body," says the voice over, unknowingly foreshadowing the fameball's future firestorm. The single mom-slash-party girl then spends the next few minutes trying to explain why she wants a second boob job to perk up her D's to full double D's. "I know men have the fantasy of having a Playboy playmate," she says in her sit-down interview, which is then spliced with another interview in which she appears to be a little bit tipsy -- "That's what I want to be, tits on a stick."
What's so deeply sigh-inducing about Lorenzana's boob-tube isn't that she's had several cosmetic surgeries (to each her own) or that she did so in order to snag a man (a hot banker maybe?) but because of this quote she gave to the Village Voice just last week about her beauty being her burden: "If being less good-looking means being happy and finding love and not being sexually harassed and having a job where no one bothers you and no one questions you because of your looks, then, definitely, I'd want that. I think of that every day."
But clearly she didn't think about it seven years ago when she got three surgeries (boobs and liposuction) in order to be as good-looking as surgically possible. Maybe hindsight is D-D. None of this, of course, means that Lorenzana wasn't inappropriately dismissed because of her sexiness. But if you're trying your hardest to be hot, doesn't it make sense that you might get burned?
