Tuesday, June 22, will be a busy day for Obama & Co: From health insurance to Gen. Stanley McChrystal's transgressions in Rolling Stone magazine to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender issues, the president has a full plate. Here's what's on deck:

9:30 a.m. President Obama and Vice President Biden receive the daily briefing in the Oval Office

11:15 a.m. Obama attends a meeting with health insurers and state insurance commissioners in the Roosevelt Room of the White House, site of his much-discussed tete-a-tete with BP Chair Carl-Henric Svanberg (still unclear whether small people or yachting will come up in this conversation).

11:45 a.m. The president delivers remarks in the East Room regarding the ongoing effort to implement the new health reform law and the new benefits it affords to families across the country.

12:20 p.m. Obama and Biden have lunch in the Private Dining Room of the White House (Gazpacho? Definitely a possibility.)

12:30 p.m. Press briefing by Robert Gibbs. Expect questions about McChrystal, budget czar Peter Orszag's resignation, troop draw-down in Afghanistan, and, of course, BP.

1:35 p.m. The president meets with senior advisers in the Oval Office.

3:15 p.m. Obama meets with Secretary of Defense Robert Gates in the Oval Office. Gates will likely hear some words from the president regarding McChrystal's "contemptuous comments" about senior administration officials in an upcoming profile in Rolling Stone.

4 p.m. Obama holds Cabinet meeting.

6 p.m. Obama and Biden attend remarks at an LGBT Pride Month event; the president will then deliver remarks in the East Room.

Our New Approach to Comments

In an effort to encourage the same level of civil dialogue among Politics Daily’s readers that we expect of our writers – a “civilogue,” to use the term coined by PD’s Jeffrey Weiss – we are requiring commenters to use their AOL or AIM screen names to submit a comment, and we are reading all comments before publishing them. Personal attacks (on writers, other readers, Nancy Pelosi, George W. Bush, or anyone at all) and comments that are not productive additions to the conversation will not be published, period, to make room for a discussion among those with ideas to kick around. Please read our Help and Feedback section for more info.

I think McChrystal is right because just look how the President's handling the oil spill and the health care bill He forced down our throats..His organizating skills are something to be desired I like to see the complete record of his so called community organizing skill from Chicago. To bad we didn't have an inexperiece Vice President instead of an inexperience President we be way better off..

House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-MD) admitted that the House will not do a budget this year, for the first time in modern history. He also said that raising taxes on middle class families may be necessary to pay for more government spending........how does this grab you, taxpayers!

The Congress has been too busy exceeding its authority to actually do its constitutional duty.

How do they propose to collect higher taxes from people who still have NO JOBS?

I just listened to the President speak about the health insurance mess. The usual sad insurance stories and jabs at the Republicans for not supporting it. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

I hope we go back and repeal this fiasco and do health reform properly with nationwide tort reform, reformation of the trial lawyers association to rein them in, bring about interstate laws to allow consumers to buy insurance across state lines. There are so many things to be done, including cleaning up the current welfare programs we now have in place, for those who, for whatever reason, can't purchase their own health insurance.

The General should be immediately reduced to the lowest military rank, along with all of his aides, and be given a Dishonorable Discharge! Period. The UCMJ demands this action. He nor any of the military persons involved should be given any consideration what so ever for their actions. This is the greatest military in the world for a reason. They have all caused great harm to the proud uniform that they wear. It is time for them to take those uniforms off, and the full weight of the UCMJ applied as applicable.

While i commend your comments on the greatest military in the world..You should remember the united state has neve acheived complete vitory in any so-called armed conflict..from korea to the present..we left dragging our tail..This appears to being repeated once again with our scheduled with-drawal from afhganistan in 2011..another non-victory..
