It's a parade of VIPs through the White House on Tuesday as President Obama plays host to a number of senators and reps throughout the day, with a mid-day break to chat with King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia. Let's hope the prez is well hydrated and eats a nutritional breakfast -- he's gonna need the energy.

Here's what's on deck:

9:30a.m. -- The president receives the Presidential Daily Briefing in the Oval Office.

10:00 a.m. -- Receives the Economic Daily Briefing in the Oval Office with Chairman of the U.S. Federal Reserve Ben Bernanke

10:50 a.m. -- Meets with a bipartisan group of senators in the Cabinet Room to discuss passing comprehensive energy and climate legislation this year, also known as "Circling the [Democratic] wagons" or "Sizing up the competition."

Expected participants: Sens Harry Reid (D-Nev.), Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.), Max Baucus (D-Mont.), Mark Begich (D-Alaska), Jeff Bingaman (D-N.M.), Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.), Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio), Maria Cantwell (D-Wash.), Tom Carper (D-Del.), Susan Collins (R-Maine), Byron Dorgan (D-N.D.), Judd Gregg (R-N.H.., John Kerry (D-Mass.), Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.), Blanche Lincoln (D-Ark.), Richard Lugar (R-Ind.), Jeff Merkley (D-Ore.), Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska), Bill Nelson (D-Fla.), Jay Rockefeller (D-W.Va.), Olympia Snowe (R-Maine), Debbie Stabenow (D-Mich.), and George Voinovich (R-Ohio).

12:00 p.m. -- Obama receives a briefing on the BP Deepwater Horizon oil spill in the Oval Office.

1:05 p.m. -- The president has a working lunch with King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia in the Old Family Dining Room. (Still unclear how well gazpacho plays in the Mideast).

2:10 p.m. -- Obama holds a meeting with King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia in the Oval Office.

2:30 p.m. -- Briefing by Press Secretary Robert Gibbs.

3:40 p.m. -- The president meets with members of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus in the State Dining Room.

Our New Approach to Comments

In an effort to encourage the same level of civil dialogue among Politics Daily’s readers that we expect of our writers – a “civilogue,” to use the term coined by PD’s Jeffrey Weiss – we are requiring commenters to use their AOL or AIM screen names to submit a comment, and we are reading all comments before publishing them. Personal attacks (on writers, other readers, Nancy Pelosi, George W. Bush, or anyone at all) and comments that are not productive additions to the conversation will not be published, period, to make room for a discussion among those with ideas to kick around. Please read our Help and Feedback section for more info.

Because losing over 4 million jobs since the stimulous , and 7 million since Congress and the Senate were taken over by the Democrats...is just not enough.

WHY ENERGY NEEDS "REFORM:"

(1) The only remaining Oil is miles beneath the Ocean. (LIE)
(2) Deep Ocean Drilling is safer than closer in. (LIE)
(3) See how impossible it is to clean up a Spill! (LIE)
(4) We should run for our lives from Oil! (LIE)
(5) Switching to Solar Panels and Windmills will improve American Lifestyle. (LIE)
(6) Windmills are just as effective as Reactors. (LIE)
(7) Driving Cars causes fluctuations in Climate. (LIE)
(8) Capitalist Greed makes the air green and hazy. (LIE)

Etc, Etc, Etc .........

As usual, the participants will be his little puppy dog followers. Do as I say, not as you want. And gee, do they take his advice each and every time?
