It turns out that Burris' appointment was not until the end of the current Congress but only until the election in November to fill the Obama seat.
The big story today is the DOJ directive to not prosecute voter intimidation activities, when the victim is white, and the perpetrators are black, yet PD has nothing. Real feather in your cap, looking out for the American people. What we get is a bunch of schmaltz about the Blago trial, which had the fix in a long time ago. Does anyone really think we will get to hear the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth? Won't happen, not in a Chicago courtroom. I know, I have lived here all my life, and the Dems have dragged this once thriving State to the edge of the black hole.

July 01 2010 at 4:09 PM Report abuse Permalink +13 rate up rate down ReplyAh, dirty Dem politics in Illinois, again. Voters, wake up. I have lived in Illinois all my 69 years, and have seen these kinds of shenanigans again and again. Just as I called it back when Blago was all the news, I said that NO Judge in Illinois would ever allow the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, to be told in his/her courtroom. Now you see that playing out. Two names to remember, just so you don't vote for them by mistake, should their names be on a future ballot: JUDGE DIANE WOOD and JUDGE JOHN GRADY.
