Great post....let the facts speak for themselves.
Most young people are democrats out of college but by the time they reach their 30's, have to work, pay a mortgage, car loan, care for a spouse, children, taxes they usually swing conservative. They look at the bottom line of their paycheck and wonder why the government is taking so much from them. Trouble is since the voting age was lowered to 18 our presidential elections have turned to mush.

Yes, the majority of young people are Democrats, but there are many young conservatives by choice, too. I'm a recent college grad and I worked my way through all four years of college; often working more than one job at a time. I remember the moment I truly became outraged at our government. I was enrolling in my first year of college at my local community college. I filled out my financial aid form and waited to hear if I would qualify for any special government grants or loans - NOPE! Why? Well apparently even though my parents were too poor to pay for my college, they were too rich for me to receive any assistance. And since I wasn't married or hadn't popped out a couple of kids by the time I turned 18 (or by the time I decided to go to college) I wasn't eligible. So I did what many people in my situation do - I got a job and worked. While I was working and going to school, all the people who got the Pell Grant and all their other college money took the day off when the checks came and went on a shopping spree. They returned to class wearing clothes and sneakers I couldn't even dream of at the moment. When I enrolled in a four-year college a year later, I was forced to take out a school loan with 20% interest because I, once again, didn't qualify for any aid. Throughout my time in school I watched the people who got gov't assistance eventually drop out, or take 6 or 7 years to finish, or go out on gov't payday and buy a giant flat screen TV or a new computer. So, while I value my education and work experience (it has definitely given me the advantage over people who didn't work in the job the hunt), I still look back and think, "Why does the government reward people for the bad decisions they've made in life?" I realized that while niether ideology is perfect, liberals want to relieve a person of their personal responsibility and consequences by making it everyone's problem and responsibility! No thanks! I'll stick with conservatism WITHOUT my parents' coersion!

This is y-o-u-r future and your very "l-i-v-e-s" are about to be "e-x-t-r-e-m-e-l-y altered" by what is currently happening within our government!!!
