Click here to visit the new home of Politics Daily! When you vote this time please look at the candidate's past track record, if they are new to politics look at what they have done in their personal life. Too often we have been hoodwinked by con artist saying they support certain things when their past clearly shows that to be contradictory. We need people in office that will truly listen to the will of the people and not be controlled by fractional groups. We also need to realize, that if a candidate has the support of our morally bankrupt entertainment industry, that something is seriously wrong with that candidate, and we need to vote for someone that Hollywood despises.
August 10 2010 at 4:32 PM Report abuse Permalink +7 rate up rate down ReplyWhat the problem is, is that congress is doing what they want and refusing to listening to the American people. The American people did not want this health-care crap, did not want this financial reform crap, and is sick and tired of having our government force things upon us. Members of this very government said openly that they would read and know what is in the health-care bill, AFTER IT PASSED! Their job is to know BEFORE they vote for anything. Face the facts...The American peopl will be heard in November. What will the democrats whine about then?

It been working that way for years. The GOP passed the medicare prescription bill on 2004 with a unfunded (not paid for) amount of just under 500 billion dollars. It gave massive government subsidies to the drug and insurance companies, and it was a fraud! the actual cost it turns out will be over 700 billion dollars, but the real amount was fudged by the Bush team intentionally to make it seem less expensive so the bill could pass. That is what we can expect out of a GOP congress, No thank you!
August 02 2010 at 5:44 PM Report abuse Permalink -16 rate up rate down ReplyYes bills get passed that are thousands of pages, that's been the norm for a long time. back in 2004 the GOP passed a "500 billion" mediacare prescription drug bill that was both unfuned(no way in bill to pay for it) and a fraud. It turns out the actual cost will be over 700 billion, but the lower cost was "cooked' by the Bush team because The Senate under GOP control at the time wouldn't accept a amount over 500 Billion. Now, how many of the people who are today, right now howling at the Democratic Congress and Presaident Obama are willing to hold the GOP accountable for the trillions of dollars they have waisted when they were in charge? If you take the time to count up the years when the most debt was accumulated it was under Reagan, GHWB, and his son GWB. And that is factual!
August 02 2010 at 4:59 PM Report abuse Permalink -12 rate up rate down ReplyWhen a bill of over 2,000 pages is proposed and then we are told that it must be passes in order for us to find out what is in it, what does that tell you? It tells me we have 2,000 pages of bull and that the real effect of the bills will be written later. A prime example is healthcare, does anyone really know what regulations are being written behind closed doors?
Financial Reform is the same. All the rules are to be written now that it has been passed. No wonder people do not want Congress to pass anymore bills.
The Democratic Congress has robbed the US Taxpayers daily. Obama is pushing his left wing liberal radical agenda through and to hell with majority of the American people.

July 28 2010 at 11:04 AM Report abuse Permalink +28 rate up rate down ReplyPelosi has not provided anyway to get jobs or improve the economy. She has fought within the democratic party to try back room deal. She has failed to take out the trash congressman from New York who is now, finally going before ethic committees. Congress is always suspect and the leader is always the target. Beside, she's from California and physically and morally bankrupt state.
July 27 2010 at 8:49 PM Report abuse Permalink +32 rate up rate down ReplyFor every law Congress implements, they should repeal 4. We don't need any more laws. We just need to enforce the ones we already have!
July 26 2010 at 1:43 PM Report abuse Permalink +42 rate up rate down ReplyWhen Bush was in office and the Democrats took control of congress and Pelosi was the leader, I was very happy hoping things would chnage. NOTHING happened and they still are doing nothing. So much for change...........too many changes to list, so you know how you living and what is happening in your hosehold. Have things to gone the good or bad over the last four yours under the control of the Democrats?
