rescued two major American car companies on the verge of shutdown. Here's what's on tap:
9:30 a.m. -- The president departs the White House en route to Andrews Air Force Base.
9:45 a.m. -- Departs Andrews Air Force Base en route to Detroit, Mich.
Press Secretary Robert Gibbs will gaggle aboard Air Force One.
11:05 a.m.-- Arrives in Detroit.
11:50 a.m. -- Tours the Chrysler auto plant.
12:15 p.m. -- Delivers remarks. Likely to be seen and heard: numerical citations regarding job saved and
profits expected.
12:55 p.m. -- Tours the General Motors auto plant in Hamtramck, Mich.
1:40 p.m. -- Delivers remarks at the General Motors auto plant.
3:10 p.m. -- Departs Detroit en route to Andrews Air Force Base.
4:25 p.m. -- Arrives at Andrews Air Force Base.
4:40 p.m.-- Arrives at the White House. Begins weekend, hopefully with a smile on his face.
