In the Vermont Democratic governor's primary, Shumlin, the state Senate president pro tem, held a narrow lead over Doug Racine, Deb Markowitz and two other candidates. "It appears that we have own," he told the Associated Press. But Racine and Markowitz had not conceded by mid-day. Lt. Gov. Brian Dubie is the GOP's nominee to succeed Republican Gov. Jim Douglas, who is retiring."Len Britton is a small business owner and first-time office seeker.".........Time to take another road, Vermont. If you want anything left for yourself, your children, your grandchildren, you will send Leahy into retirement (and you can bet he will have a pretty cushy setup awaiting him and his family)and give the new guy a chance at actually bringing stability and wealth back to America and her citizens. Leahy might have done o.k. for Vermont, but do you really think Vermont survives if the rest of the country fails?
