Can Bristol Palin dance?
We might find out if she ends up as a contestant on ABC's "Dancing With the Stars," the second biggest show on television behind "American Idol."
Bristol, 19, the oldest daughter of Sarah Palin, may be tangoing on season 11 of the dance competition. She could be appearing along with David Hasselhoff, Audrina Patridge, The Situation and Brandy in the upcoming season, which premieres Sept. 20. ABC would not confirm any guest stars for the season. The official lineup will be announced Monday.
Earlier this summer, Bristol and her on-again, off-again fiancé, Levi Johnston, were rumored to be shopping for a reality television show. Johnston and Bristol are the parents of Tripp, who was born in Dec. 2008. Bristol is reportedly taking her Tripp with her to Los Angeles where "Dancing With the Stars" is filmed.
Johnston will appear Friday on CBS' "The Early Show." He reportedly will say he regrets apologizing to Sarah Palin in a People magazine interview. Johnston, too, wants a reality television show and plans to run for mayor of Wasilla, Alaska, in hopes of landing one. Sarah Palin once served as Wasilla's mayor.
Last month, Bristol made a guest appearance on ABC Family's teen drama, "The Secret Life of the American Teenage," in an episode centered on teen pregnancy. Click play below to watch the video:

Sarah Palin has been filming her own show, "Alaska," for The Learning Channel. She also appears on FOX News as a commentator.
Earlier this week, the Louisville Courier-Journal reported that Bristol will be paid $14,000 to speak at the Louisville Marriott Downtown on behalf of Lifehouse, a home for single mothers in Louisville. She often speaks on behalf of abstinence and pro-life programs.
"Dancing with the Stars" has hosted a few political types, including Jerry Springer (remember, he was once mayor of Cincinnati), former U.S. Rep. Tom Delay, and The Daily Caller co-founder Tucker Carlson.
Will Sarah Palin appear on "Dancing with the Stars?" Betcha she's looking for some dancing shoes right now.

Our New Approach to Comments

In an effort to encourage the same level of civil dialogue among Politics Daily’s readers that we expect of our writers – a “civilogue,” to use the term coined by PD’s Jeffrey Weiss – we are requiring commenters to use their AOL or AIM screen names to submit a comment, and we are reading all comments before publishing them. Personal attacks (on writers, other readers, Nancy Pelosi, George W. Bush, or anyone at all) and comments that are not productive additions to the conversation will not be published, period, to make room for a discussion among those with ideas to kick around. Please read our Help and Feedback section for more info.

Bristol Palin is not a politician. Why is she here any more than Sascha and Malia, who are also not politicians? Is this a "civilogue" issue? Why not just leave the kids out of it, and focus on the real issues and policies? Leave the rest to "People" and Oprah.

I really don't get it. Why is this young lady even still in the spot light. She was an unwed mother and that makes her a star??? The whole Palin family just won't go away. I'm sick of seeing articles on their every move. American doesn't care!!! I don't care!!

She is a star???? Since when. Wierd choice. And puts her in a vulnerable position. So wierd since Sarah made such a big deal about keeping her kids out of the spotlight.

Who is Bristol Palin? Who or what are the Palins/ Why are they not gone from the American scene. I personally have given up lunch or dinner several times when they have been on TV. Why are they on TV? Should children even be allowed to see them. What is their rating. Mothers, are you using your program blockers for impressionable children. Should children even be hearing things like "RELOAD"when you do not agree with them
