Arizona Governor Jan Brewer: Nobody Does It Better

Our New Approach to Comments

In an effort to encourage the same level of civil dialogue among Politics Daily’s readers that we expect of our writers – a “civilogue,” to use the term coined by PD’s Jeffrey Weiss – we are requiring commenters to use their AOL or AIM screen names to submit a comment, and we are reading all comments before publishing them. Personal attacks (on writers, other readers, Nancy Pelosi, George W. Bush, or anyone at all) and comments that are not productive additions to the conversation will not be published, period, to make room for a discussion among those with ideas to kick around. Please read our Help and Feedback section for more info.

The two men who are advising her in the law are also owners of the private prisons in the state. Do you think there might be crony capitalism there? Why even vote and turn the state over to the corporations so they can run it for you? The federal government is already there.

What I read was not that they were advising her but their companies had given her campaign money.

I like the immigration laws in Arizona. I think the Governor is an embarrassment to all politicians. She truly needs a teleprompter.

Lets remove the issue of immigration legislation. Jan Brewer did look foolish and unprepared during the debate and did in fact ignore numerous questions from reporters inquirying about a factual error. Frankly the cartoon was acurate. I would like to see immigration reform, but Jan Brewer is not the person I thought she was.

A terrible cartoon. Mean spirited and disrespectful. When will you people figure out that you cannot do this to elected officials and office-seekers without creating a backlash that enables them to win elections? Please, get back to the facts of this governor's tenure in office. She did NOT balance the budget, she is completely undermining public education in the state, she is stoking fears of citizens in the state for personal political gain. She is not competent to deal with the complexities that this state faces over illegal immigration and the very real potential that we shall soon have a completely failed state south of our border. This is terrifying. Stop doing this ridiculous, irrelevant, mean-spirited attack on Jan Brewer. All you need to do is state a few facts.

Let us put Jan Brewer and Mr. Arpio in the White house and our top 3 in our government in tents behind barb wire. Like the good book says There shall come a time when good shall be called bad and bad shall be called good. The time is here. The illegals are angry at a cartoonist representation of their flag, but come here and burn our flag. Such blatant hypocrisy. Bite the hand that feeds you?

What is wrong with you people?????? Quit going after the ONLY state that is trying to do anything about illegal immigration. Are you that brain washed???? If you are so against any form of legal immigration, then I suggest that you support all the illegals. I'm sure AZ would be glad to send them to you.

Guess what Kathy, l2 other states have joined in with Brewer, she is not alone. I suspected Louisiana would after a woman was brutally murdered recently. I believe the article said by 3 Hispanic Illegal Immigrants.

May our good lord grant strength to Jan Brewer. She is only one of multitudes that are beginning to stand for what is right for OUR country. She and Joe Arpaio are very courageous to continue their freedom fight from tyranny. Thank the almighty GOD, for his power to give us the will to keep on, KEEP'EN ON !!!! We stand behind Jan, and Joe. Signed, the legal AMERICAN VOTING PATRIOTS. Thankyou !

Brewer and Arpaio want the freedom to push tyranny on the weakest members of society, not to protect us from it. Signed, A Real American
