Our New Approach to Comments

In an effort to encourage the same level of civil dialogue among Politics Daily’s readers that we expect of our writers – a “civilogue,” to use the term coined by PD’s Jeffrey Weiss – we are requiring commenters to use their AOL or AIM screen names to submit a comment, and we are reading all comments before publishing them. Personal attacks (on writers, other readers, Nancy Pelosi, George W. Bush, or anyone at all) and comments that are not productive additions to the conversation will not be published, period, to make room for a discussion among those with ideas to kick around. Please read our Help and Feedback section for more info.

Obama's policies have clearly been a failure. Why would we ask for more?...

Obama must go! First we need to have a congress that doesn't rubber stamp his every wish. Governement needs to cut jobs and and reduce spending drastically. Government is not the answer it is the problem. Until we have people that understand that we will all suffer. Those expecting handouts will have to find an alternative.

I voted for Obama and I will vote for him again. I will campaign for him and I will contribute to his campaign. I can clearly see that whatever he has tried to do to help the people in this country has been blocked by the party of NO and that their agenda is hate, vitriol and lies.Disgusting.

People have short memories, remember the Bush days? Tax cuts for the wealthy and the oil industry to list a few and look how far in the hole he put this country. We finally get a President who is doing something for the little guy and you complain ? You want to erase all of the unemployment over night ? A year and a half is only half the time needed to correct all those Bush mistakes. That's right vote for the Party of NO and see what they have to offer the country. I wouldn't mind if they have some workable ideas, they have nothing but more of the same. Those are the FACTS people. Just look at their voting record, they say NO to unemployment benefits, they say NO to Financial Reform, they say NO Health Care, they even say NO to a jobs bill that helps small business. Their record clearly shows who they represent. Not you and me that's for sure except of course if your wealthy or you own big business. They represent Special Interests and only Special Interests, they have done that in the past time and time again and will do it now and in the future. FACTS people stick to the FACTS !!!

The Government doubles our taxes, raises trillions in debt and blames the state of the economy on us who cannot spend because our disposable income does not exist???? Are you absolutely freaking nuts?????! Do they ever think thier actions don't have consequences for the rest of us? N0!!!!! They only think of themselves and the power they can acquire over us. We fell for the pretty words of utopian change and look where it got us. Government does not have all the answers but the American people do. Just let us loose to prove it. PS Taxes are used to control the people. Both parties use this tool.

I voted for Obama. I am MORE than ready to get off this train. He has done NOTHING but go against the will of Americans. He has no PRIDE in America. I should have listened to the warning signs. Like the company he surrounds himself with. He can kiss his collective salvation GOODBYE.

I said it once, now I'll say it again!! I'm sick, sick, sick of everyone in this country pissin' an moanin' about this countrys President. How about everyone start working together to try to make things better for our country???? You all sound like a bunch ...of high schoolers in a "he said, she said" fight!! Start acting like adults and instead of bashing each other like "high school bullies" start compromising on finding solutions!!! GROW UP!!! This is really getting STUPID! Whine, whine, whine and nothing gets accomplished!!! It's time to MOVE ON PEOPLE. The blame game needs to come to an end!!! Companies create jobs and hire people,NOT the government or sitting presidents. Corporations are about one thing and one thing only. Profit. They will pay the lowest wages necessary to maximize their bottom line. Their workers are a disposable commodity and nothing else. People you really need to STOP blaming our President for EVERYTHING that has happened. It all started LONG before he took office and will continue till LONG after he's gone. Everyone seems to think they can do a better job but all I see is a bunch of whiney people putting the blame on him instead of all the big corporations, banks and the people that were in control at the time. They are the ones to blame and are the ones helping keep this economy at a stand still while they make millions in dollars in profit while the rest of us hurt for jobs etc... How about BASHING all of them instead of the President who's been in office for a year and a half, that gets NO co-operation from congress or anyone else. Think "Sarah" and her cronies could do any better? Come on people, lets get with it!!! Wake up!!...go after the people that need going after, AIG, Gas companies, banks, ALL insurance companies etc... They're the ones in need of bashing, NOT our President!! It's been on a downhill slope in this country since Reagan was in office and getting progressively worse throughout the years and poor Obama is taking the rap for not cleaning up in a year and a half whats taken 30 years to make! We need to get rid of big mouths, big egos and the no sense what so ever hypocrits that have been running this country for the past 40 years!! We all need to get a real grip and attack those that are doing nothing but lining their fat pockets not caring anything about the middle and lower class people that work their tails off for them to get rich on.

the current political atmosphere is very similar to that period immediately before and after hitlers power grab in germany. the new black panther party intimidates white voters. the citizens of arizona are not allowed to defend theselves aganst illegal alien threats. the government itself is obstructing justice.in lockstep with this move AARP reports the american library associations banned book list includes at least one book: all quiet on the western front, banned and burned by adolf hitler. we need to take back America.

From whom? Some boogie man you want the democrats portrayed as. Reread your comments and think about the Patriot Act. Now who are the bootjacks? The ones who want to pry into your personal life or the ones who to live and let live. As evil as you want to make democrats, we don't invade privacy. We advocate for laws that stop interferring with our privacy.
