It's a quiet day for the president on Thursday, Sept. 9 -- or at least, there isn't a whole lot on his public schedule. Expect to hear more from the commander in chief when he holds a press conference on Friday. Here's what's on deck:
10:00 a.m. -- The president and the vice president receive the presidential daily briefing in the Oval Office.
10:30 a.m. -- The president meets with senior advisors in the Oval Office. Smart money is on some discussion regarding White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel's possible (and wildly probable) run for mayor of Chicago.
1:00 p.m. -- Press briefing by Press Secretary Robert Gibbs.
1:30 p.m. -- The president meets with Secretary of the Treasury Geithner in the Oval Office. Likely post-mortem on the president's proposed legislation to help businesses and create jobs, announced Wednesday.
