Akin to spotting a unicorn on Pennsylvania Avenue, President Obama will be holding a rare and prized press conference -- the sixth of his presidency -- on Friday, Sept. 10. Here's what's on tap:

9:30 a.m. -- The president receives the Presidential Daily Briefing in the Oval Office.

11:00 a.m. -- The president holds a news conference in the East Room. Expect a bevy of questions about the Terry Jones Koran-burning controversy and American relations with the Muslim world in advance of the first family's September 11 commemorations. Likely questions about the Rahm for Mayor campaign and Bush tax cuts, as well.

12:30 p.m. -- The president meets with senior advisers in the Oval Office.

Our New Approach to Comments

In an effort to encourage the same level of civil dialogue among Politics Daily’s readers that we expect of our writers – a “civilogue,” to use the term coined by PD’s Jeffrey Weiss – we are requiring commenters to use their AOL or AIM screen names to submit a comment, and we are reading all comments before publishing them. Personal attacks (on writers, other readers, Nancy Pelosi, George W. Bush, or anyone at all) and comments that are not productive additions to the conversation will not be published, period, to make room for a discussion among those with ideas to kick around. Please read our Help and Feedback section for more info.

Empty rhetoric and political posturing , that's what we are getting . To blame Bush for everything wrong with this country when B.O. and his ilk were the majority party for the last two years of his presidency is pathetic. I could swear that the democrats were still in the majority ? Given that fact , if he truly had the support of his own party , could he not just ram his "tax breaks for the middle class " through just like he did with health care ? The truth is that even his own party realizes how unpopular he is getting and they are going to try and save their own jobs . It's tough to give polished , glib answers to questions without the teleprompter isn't it barry ?

He's giving it during the day, due to so many unemployed will be home to watch his empty same old talk. Thank God for TCM and the good old movies. That's when America was America.
