Mrs. Bush recalled that on 9/11 "we saw the worst of our enemies and the best of our nation. America was attacked, but the deepest belief of our democracy was vindicated -- that our greatness and strength is found in the character of our citizens."I like Mrs. Bush, classy and elegance.

September 12 2010 at 4:59 AM Report abuse Permalink -3 rate up rate down ReplyUSA is not fighting terrorism, it is playing politics with terrorism. Just like you cannt eradicate diseases by trying to keep them away from your shores but let them fester in other people's land, you cannot fight terrorism by making deals with the terrorist and finance them to commit those acts against other countries. American government has used American taxpayer's money to pay Pakistan which in turn has funnelled it to terrorist organization fighting against India. US knows that, and they seem to be OK with it. Interestingly, their money was used to attack US troops in Afghanistan also as the wikileaks has pointed out. All the countries of the world shoul unite against the common menace and stop playing politics with this mortal danger.

September 11 2010 at 11:11 PM Report abuse Permalink +31 rate up rate down ReplyOur President FDR said before a Joint Session of Congress back on December 7th 1941 that this day will "LIVE IN INFAMMY", Well 9/11/01 will also live that way in the Hearts of Americans....The only difference is we WON that World War II and it took 4 years. But this War on Terrorism is not being won and we'll never know when it will be over as long as we have Nations that supply Terrorists to fuel their efforts....If we can only drop that BOMB on them like President Truman did on the Japanese and we know where they are and countries that harbor them, then and only then we'll eradicate terror in the world....God Bless Our U.S.A.
September 11 2010 at 9:44 PM Report abuse Permalink -1 rate up rate down ReplyPoppie, Which nations will you bomb? Those with terrorists living there? Well, the US and every other country in the world has terrorists who live in it. I don't subscribe to the "kill them all and let God sort them out" illogic.

September 11 2010 at 9:09 PM Report abuse Permalink +18 rate up rate down ReplyMrs. Obama doesn't need to take a lesson form Mrs. Bush. Both are classy ladies in their own way. They may have different styles but we can be proud of both of them.

September 12 2010 at 10:44 AM Report abuse Permalink -2 rate up rate down ReplyI just wanted to thank AOL for the new approach to comments made by readers. It was becoming second nature for me to refrain from scrolling too far down the page in order to avoid a sea of cruel and hateful comments. Thank you for returning this forum to one where ideas are exchanged and the art of a civilized debate is the norm and not the exception.
