Controversy erupted when, appearing on Pete Dominick's Sirius-XM show Thursday, Sanchez called "The Daily Show's" Jon Stewart "a bigot," and implied CNN is run by Jews.
As the Huffington Post notes,
Rick Sanchez did not appear on Friday's "Rick List," the afternoon after his controversial comments about Jon Stewart and Jews surfaced. Sanchez's regular substitute Brooke Baldwin filled in for him.
Sanchez was best known for his program, "Rick's List." You can hear Sanchez's controversial comments here:
Just as my belief in lou dobbs vannished as he became a fox contributor Rick will be there with him. Although I might add I respected or cared for Rick Sanchez and I feel he is no where near baing a news reporter let alone a news host. He is often flawed just as glenn beck bill orielly, that idiot shawn hannity and the rest of bush's news cronnies on fox may rick have a seat besides them as they will welcome him with open arms cause just like lou dobbs he is a wolf in sheeps clothing.

October 04 2010 at 2:04 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyI was under the opinion that Rick Sanchez is a serious reporter and Jon Stewart a comedian and joke maker....WOW !!!!

Part of his charm, for me, was his success story. Lately, however, I had begun to see his arrogance. It's all sad.

It is a sad world when people can't express what they feel. I hope that he makes a lot of money with his book and goes on to write a second book on how CNN treats "Cubans" for speaking up.

October 02 2010 at 6:25 PM Report abuse Permalink +2 rate up rate down ReplyI agree, with you!!Also add David Letterman! Some people can make remarks and get away with it. I thought we were a free country, so proud with freedom of speech! For Whom???? Maybe there is some truth in what is said and that is why some people get fired....Others can get away with it!! It is not fair!!!
October 02 2010 at 7:00 PM Report abuse Permalink +1 rate up rate down ReplyI looked forward to Ricks show every day and not only is he very forward and honest to the public and talks on the average persons level he is great. Some times the truth hurts and if you can't take it get the hell out of America and go to some **** country. CNN really f----- up by firing Rick over the fact he is honest and tells both sides of the story. I for one will not be watching CNN any more. You news team must have run out of dumb stories so you pick on Rick because he is from Cuba. To me the Bigots and Races are the Jews and Colored. Lots more to say but I don't want to waste my time.. CNN screwed up!!!!!!
