Rush Limbaugh Does 'Family Guy'

Rush Limbaugh is set to make an appearance -- well, his voice anyway -- on Fox's animated show "Family Guy."

And it looks pretty darn funny.

The video below includes clips of the episode, as well as a fit-looking Limbaugh discussing with "Family Guy" creator Seth MacFarlane why he accepted the invitation to be the voice of the Rush character. Essentially, Limbaugh argues that you've got to be able to laugh at yourself. As Limbaugh says, "the show is irreverent and makes fun of everybody."

This is true. The show, like "South Park," tends to mock both political sides fairly equally.

Still, it is interesting that Limbaugh would choose to go on "Family Guy." Limbaugh is a big supporter of Sarah Palin, and as recently as February, Bristol Palin called the show's writers "heartless jerks" for an insensitive joke about Sarah Palin's special needs son, Trig.

Our New Approach to Comments

In an effort to encourage the same level of civil dialogue among Politics Daily’s readers that we expect of our writers – a “civilogue,” to use the term coined by PD’s Jeffrey Weiss – we are requiring commenters to use their AOL or AIM screen names to submit a comment, and we are reading all comments before publishing them. Personal attacks (on writers, other readers, Nancy Pelosi, George W. Bush, or anyone at all) and comments that are not productive additions to the conversation will not be published, period, to make room for a discussion among those with ideas to kick around. Please read our Help and Feedback section for more info.

Just in case you libs and haters don't know, this is the 2nd time he will be on this show. He was funny the last time and I bet will be even funnier this time. Why are you lefties so jealous. As he states, he can do more with 1/2 his brain tied behind his back. But just so you people who are envious of him and claim to listen to him, what is his favorite car and favorite cigar? If you listen you will know.

However intelligent he may be, I have an aversion to people who will make up "facts" from air and pass them off to gullible minions with no grasp of reality. I have a few coworkers who sadly take in every word this person says as Gospel and make sure to parrot it to me at any opportunity. I'm still waiting for Obama's "Whites Only" Concentration camps that Rush said were coming. I am a liberal but, unlike you who by your language is the "hater", I believe everybody has a right to free speech and I won't ever try to curtail it. I would just appreciate it if Rush, Beck, Hannity and the like would use verifiable information once in a while...oh, and Republican blogs or emails aren't verifiable facts. I mean things that can be proven true.

What else should anyone expect from the Fox Network. Remember Fox is the home of the Simpson's of the USA.

Rush is EVERY bit as BAD as Keith O from the 'other' side. BOTH use DIVISIVENESS to sell themselves. ANYONE who supports either is PART of the PROBLEM!!

For those on here trashing Limbaugh with the usual comments you hear on MSNBC get a life. The vast majority of you have NEVER listened to Limbaugh for a day let alone a week. If you listened to him for a week you may actually find out what Obama and the Democrats are doing to America. If not continue to live in your little dream world that you see on ABC, CBS, CNN, NBC, or on MSNBC. It does not matter which you turn on. They are all EXACTLY the same news which is favorable to Obama and the Democrats.

Gee and what would have been said if he would have made fun of the offer and not had gone through with it. He did it for the money , good grief. Give him some oxy and get over it. He does not care that they don't like Palin.

This coming from someone who can't spell the word 'divided'. Election day 11/2/10 can't come soon enough!

I couldn't agree with you more!! As I posted earlier, Rush is an egocentric maniac. Dangerous because many clueless people believe and subscribe to what he spews over the air.

I think that debo1411 has it right.... Rush haters have never really listened to him, they just repeat what others say about him.

At least Rush can take a step back and laugh at himself.
