Our New Approach to Comments

In an effort to encourage the same level of civil dialogue among Politics Daily’s readers that we expect of our writers – a “civilogue,” to use the term coined by PD’s Jeffrey Weiss – we are requiring commenters to use their AOL or AIM screen names to submit a comment, and we are reading all comments before publishing them. Personal attacks (on writers, other readers, Nancy Pelosi, George W. Bush, or anyone at all) and comments that are not productive additions to the conversation will not be published, period, to make room for a discussion among those with ideas to kick around. Please read our Help and Feedback section for more info.

Most of these young men and women are doing what they think is right. If you do not like what is going on look at the war. Is this a war we have to fight? They do not pick the wars they just fight them. I do not know enought about what has happened over there to make an educated decision if we should be there or not. But I stand behind our troops 100%.

Serving three tours in Korea and two tours in Nam,,,and many fellow miltary served the whole ww2 in combat never getting home, and i cant remember any of the so called PTD or sucides that I hear today,,,,but maybe its just a stronger breed then,,,,But for what ever the reason I feel that this could all be corrected by a draft and not putting the whole load on a selected few.
