Click here to visit the new home of Politics Daily! She's in the money: Sharron Angle raised a whopping $14 million from July 1 to Sept. 30, overflowing her war chest as her fight to unseat Nevada's Sen. Harry Reid comes down to the wire.
The former state assemblywoman's third-quarter haul is "a stunning number that far eclipses the cash-collection totals of other prominent candidates seeking Senate seats next month," The Washington Post reported Tuesday.
"Sharron Angle produced one of the most successful single quarters of fundraising in the nation's history for a U.S. Senate campaign," said Angle's communications director, Jarrod Agen. "This is a testament to the hatred of Harry Reid, the nation's disapproval of President Obama, and the unprecedented grassroots support for Sharron Angle."
Reid hasn't reported his third-quarter fundraising numbers yet. So far this election cycle, Reid has raised $18 million, the Post said.
I found this very interesting. http://www.dailyfinance.com/story/company-news/the-10-biggest-corporate-campaign-contributors-in-u-s-politics/19652265/ this a top money list. Look at all tyhe people sending Harry Reid money.

Unfortunately, such is not the case at all. Have you looked at where our country is right now? Janis, we simply cannot continue on this course, it would be beyond sheer madness to do so. America is at a crossroad: we will either choose freedom and return to our magnificent constitution or we will go the way of ancient Rome. Those "necessary" programs you are referring to are completely unconstitutional and America did fine without them for over 140 years. Freedom means that you are responsible for yourself. If you want socialism and government running your life, you might want to consider moving to Europe. America is for those who value freedom in all its dimensions. Do you really know what freedom means?

If she would just tie harry to obama telling everyone not to go to Vegas it would be a land slide. Go Sharon, send the most dispised man in America home for the holidays. I can't wait for the election. I feel like Chris Mathews, I am getting a tingle running up my leg.. LOL

October 13 2010 at 10:24 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down Reply.....and while the house burns down, rather than teaming up to grab a hose and put water on the fire, you'll stand there and point fingers at each other and argue over who started the fire. Reid and Angle must both be laughing their hind quarters off! Don't any of you think it a bit strange that BOTH Reid and Angle have these astronomical piles of money?! Both these candidate are playing you for fools, and you dance to the tune these political parties play. Your all blindly following sheep who get what you deserve! Come on people. For every questionable dollar that one party finds and gives to a candidate, it's for sure the other side is doing the same. I just have to laugh...honestly, it's like two people standing in a basement filled with gasoline up to your knees. Your both holding 14 matches, and both are furiously trying to light them, and while doing so each is complaining about where the other one got their matches from! Here's a whacky idea, get rid of the matches and gasoline! Limit how much money a candidate can get. Limit where the money can come from. Make the playing field equal...until true political fund raising reform comes about the madness will go on. Keep striking those matches people, because the politicans are standing outside laughing at you....

If we level the playing field, then perhaps we will elect based on ability not monies spent on advertisements.lgwestergren@aol.com

Very rich people. If a member of congress has taken corporate money, they should not be allowed to vote on any issue pertaining to that corporation. "I hope we shall crush in its birth the aristocracy of our monied corporations which dare already to challenge our government to a trial by strength, and bid defiance to the laws of our country." Thomas Jefferson

I would like to hear what the voter's have to say about her in five and one-half years. It is my opinion, that Sharon Angle has demonstrated that she is not a stable person, mentally, and her voting will always be on the lunatic fringe of American Politics. Is this country destined to have another Hitler as our leader? Certainly, the fascist element has found favor with voter's of this country.

You people posting to this web site must be being paid by Rove because there is absolutly nothing about this woman that I would even consider in line with MOST americans. I guess if you have chickens to trade to your doctor for service she might look reasonible to you.
October 13 2010 at 12:48 AM Report abuse Permalink -3 rate up rate down ReplyWhen our elections come to your ability to buy an election no matter which country is contributing we should all be very concerned. This woman is a nut case, it isn't about her winning because the good ole boy republicans know that she won't get a word out of her dumb mouth if elected, but having Harry Reid there watching out for the people of this country instead of wall street and BIG MONEY corporations is a real problem for the republicans plan.

I'm trying to look at the big picture here. What I see is that Harry Reid is wrong for Nevada and definitely wrong for the country. I was going to vote for None of the Above, as allowed in Nevada, until nObama started throwing around his accusations against the Chamber of Commerce, with absolutely no proof. I know you understand how that works because you do the same thing with Sharron Angle. Because of nObama, I am now voting against Harry Reid.
October 13 2010 at 4:17 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyWhy should Americans be worried about the imaginary threat of sharia law encroaching on imaginary towns in america(see Angles statement re: Franklin Texas which hasn't existed since early 70's)when we face the REAL threat of candidates that,IF elected, would enact Sharron laws? One Taliban for another...Angle's money came from Karl Rove and CoC's Bahrain partners...She could raise enough dough to make a loaf of Italian bread by herself
