Pew says that analysis of three of four election polls it conducted since the Spring of this year showed that landline samples alone produced slightly more support for Republican candidates and less for Democrats by margins ranging from 4 to 6 points. One of the polls showed no difference.
The Dems should have a chance to do their thing and correct the mistakes of the past 8 years. And they will need time and cooperation, in order to accomplish this. The people voted them into ofice to correct the situation that the Republicans place us into. Back off and give them a chance to do their jobs! Repulicans are only for the very rich and have proved this on many occassions. Average Americans, such as myself, will kepp enough Dems in office to complete the job... Vote Straight Democratic.

October 14 2010 at 2:06 PM Report abuse Permalink +1 rate up rate down ReplyWow. Openvisions55 sure has his/her eyes closed. The dems have out raised repubs by over 3 to 1. The dems supported Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac who's financial practices destroyed the housing market which brought down the economy. The dems, led by Dodd and Obama, fillibusted any attempt by the repubs to change these practice like approving loans for people with no jobs or income. My sons girlfriend got just such a loan and of course she couldn't make the payments. The dems took a year working on a health care bill that every ammendment or idea the repubs put forth were rejected like tort reform, open up the abililty to purchase insurance (like life) accross state lines as two examples. The should have been working on a real jobs bill like the repubs asked for with specifics. But lets not take a little thing like recorded facts and use them to look at what really going on but lets keep to our ideology arguments and throw the truth to the wind. I drives me crazy when democrat and republican supporters write non factual garbage. The facts are this. Today they announced that over 462,000 people filed for unemployment for the first time. Tomorrow they will release the created jobs and you will find it to be less than 200,000 which means the economy is losing more jobs than it creats. When Obama and the dems pushed their special interest "stimulus" bill they took ownership of the economy and they failed

There was a DEMOCRAT Congress during that time........and they were doing their thing then....as they want to do now! And if it hadn't been for their hero Bill Clinton's lax attitude and his being so busy with Monica......Bin Laden could have been easily been captured or killed. Annie

October 14 2010 at 2:19 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyThe only friends I (conservative, GOP) have that have gone to cellphone only are...unabashedly liberal. I am skeptical of all polls and read them for fun only. It's just too easy to skew the numbers to fit the agenda of the pollster.
October 14 2010 at 1:09 PM Report abuse Permalink +5 rate up rate down ReplyMakes sense. Older citizens do not use cell phones to the degree that younger citizens do. Older Americans tend to be more conservative.

October 14 2010 at 12:58 PM Report abuse Permalink +3 rate up rate down ReplyMaybe we all can start by asking a few questions to the Republican Party. How are you going to change things? All I hear is what mistakes the democrats are making. What are you going to do and how will you do it. We know you didn’t do it when Bush was in office. Remember you vote no on everything Obama has tried to do. Second, why did some republican states take stimulus money and hold on to it instead of creating jobs? So will power in office help you to help us? Third, you say you care for the American people, if you can raise millions of dollars in each state for campaigns, why didn’t you raise the money before now and help people out with foreclosures. It’s like you raise money just for yourself and the hell with us. Why did you sit back and not help Bush when you saw what was going on. You knew Cheney was nowhere to be found and to me Bush was working alone. You could have helped, so we wouldn’t be in the place we are now. You knew we were all in trouble and did nothing, but now since Obama is in office, you want to help and complain. Why? Why? Why? So now you state you want to take your country back. Not our country but yours. If it took more than 8 years to get in trouble its going to take more that 4 years to get back on track. People say no jobs but from New York to Virginia and Maryland to Chicago there is a ton of construction jobs going on. 4 new casinos and new stores. So that’s a few jobs. It depends on the state and the governor of that state to use the stimulus money to help people. Some states are doing just that. What happened to the red states? People are not investigating. They just listen to these dumb ads and act.
October 14 2010 at 12:38 PM Report abuse Permalink -3 rate up rate down ReplyAmen, brother!! My sentiments exactly. Where were all these "fiscally responsible Republicans" when Bush was taking a surplus into record deficits?? Their ONLY goal for the last two years is to make Obama's policies on every front fail. To hell with America-we have to make the right look good no matter the cost! I will vote straight Democratic ticket. They are not all good, but so far above anything the right has to offer, it isn't even debatable.
October 14 2010 at 2:14 PM Report abuse Permalink -1 rate up rate down ReplyWow, I am reading the posts here and the liberals are really brainwashed! Its so sad. To every liberal who voted for Obama, you should have done your homework. You have given us exactly what was expected. Stop voting with your heart and vote with your head.
