Our New Approach to Comments

In an effort to encourage the same level of civil dialogue among Politics Daily’s readers that we expect of our writers – a “civilogue,” to use the term coined by PD’s Jeffrey Weiss – we are requiring commenters to use their AOL or AIM screen names to submit a comment, and we are reading all comments before publishing them. Personal attacks (on writers, other readers, Nancy Pelosi, George W. Bush, or anyone at all) and comments that are not productive additions to the conversation will not be published, period, to make room for a discussion among those with ideas to kick around. Please read our Help and Feedback section for more info.

My favorite is when obama brings it with the old time revival and says, "I am my brothers keeper, I am my sisters keeper". It means absolutely nothing, but it's funny as hell to watch.

Talk is cheap and speech is free, so what is the problem. Nothing that these women say or do is meaningful.

I don't understand why liberals are always calling their opponents names...racists, bigots, bullies, ultra-conservative, religious wackos, dumb, or just mean. We have major issues today, let's stick to the issues.

It is because the Conservatives call them traitor, socialist, communist, un-American, liberals, etc... Maybe if the Republicans could stop their hateful attacks long enough to debate the issues, they might not get called things in return.

As bad as it sounds to say, Women can be the most devilish people in the world. They will destroy and tear down another woman without a thought, if that is the antidirection they are heading. Men will fight, women will destroy. Men get over it with the fight, women hang on to the hate and let it build and fester even more. !!

Hilary Clinton was classified as pushy by the GOP. What would they classify their lot?

@Joe--I don't see Sarah Palin actually "running" anything except her mouth. She is NOT home raising 5 children and running a household. Please try to select from a more credible, albeit smaller, list of her accomplishments.

Hate to say it, but women are women. They seem to always tear each other down all the time. When men do it, it's acceptable. When a man tears a woman down, he's called rude crude and a few other names, When a woman tears a man down, she's being agressive and asserting herself, there is no difference in this stuff. Women need to start banning together, weather you like them or not. Geridean Ferraro , spellings off, sorry. comes to mind, ran for V.P. back in eighty eight, women tore her to pieces. WHY? and you expcet to be taken seriously?? Lol Time has come to put the differences down and work together.

You can't put the differences down and work together. There is always two philosophicle differences. Basic principles that differ. Just because they are women doesn't mean they all just put their beliefs aside and all hold hands and say, "we will take care of it together", that's a bit silly, don't ya think. Men don't lay down their belief's, why should women?

The reason I don't think these women will make a difference is because none is talking about the real issue. If you think they can impeach Obama or roll back the legislation, you are sadly mistaken. He is too powerful. You are not even allowed to ask why he sealed all his records on his first day of office...transcript, BC, passport..So nothing any of these women say really impresses me. They will be able to do NOTHING under his power once in DC. They are not going to rollback Obamacare. We will be forced to buy it unless you have an exemption...like Medi-Share if you are a church member.

Maureed Dowd has no idea about what these conservative women are about. To me they represent a backlash against the weak kneed Republicans of the past. Those Republicans tried to mirror some Democrat stragegies to get the votes of the elderly, the poor and the self interest groups like the Hispanics and the African Americans. This led to the big spending and made those Republicans complicit in the crash of the economy. Maureen Dowd, who I believe is single and has no children, loves to attack Sarah Palin but we all know that Dowd would never be able to accomplish what Sarah did in spite of having to run a household with 5 kids. The attacks on these conservative women is driven by pure jealousy.
