What religion was Michael Bennet born into?

Bennet's father is a Christian and his mother is Jewish. "I was raised with two different heritages, one was Jewish and one was Christian," Bennet has said. "I am proud that both heritages are part of me, and I believe in God." His maternal grandparents and his mother escaped from Poland during the Holocaust.

What is Michael Bennet's position on the Islamic center planned for near the World Trade Center site in Manhattan?

When asked by a Denver newspaper, Bennet's campaign released a statement that said: "Freedom of religion is one of the most cherished traditions in our Constitution and our history. Michael believes this is a decision for New Yorkers to make and hopes a site can be chosen that alleviates the current tensions and is sensitive to the memory of September 11th."

the unremitting smear ads run on behalf of michael bennett have convinced me he is unfit for public office in fact unfit for public life.. i was going to vote for him but i can't possibly doso after being constantly bombarded with misstatements and innuendo in ads attacking buck.. i'll vote for Hick but i'll be damned if i can countenance the vile attack ads.
