Profitt played down the headline-grabbing incident in an interview with Lexington's WKYT-TV, saying, "I don't think it's that big of a deal."
"I would like for her to apologize to me to be honest with you," Profitt said of Lauren Valle, the MoveOn activist who was protesting outside of a planned debate between Paul and his rival for Senate, Democrat Jack Conway.
Profitt told the TV station that he believes Valle was looking to stir up controversy.
"She's a professional at what she does," Profitt said, "and I think when all the facts come out, I think people will see that she was the one that initiated the whole thing."
Profitt, a one-time county coordinator for Paul, was cut loose by the campaign after the incident. He was issued a "criminal summons" by police.
This woman needs to take this Tim Profitt for everthing he owns in court, and someone needs to do the same thing to him that he did to her!

November 07 2010 at 7:07 PM Report abuse Permalink +2 rate up rate down ReplyMy heart goes out to my fellow Move-on member. We liberals are called "the enemy" by Sean Hannity, Anne Coulter and Rush Limbaugh. We are actually decent people and citizens. WE don't carry guns. We would never step on anyone or chase them around a car, or wrestle them to the ground or stop them from saying what they wanted to say. This man Profitt is a bully. But he's not the only Bully of the Tea Party. The body guards of Carl Palladino were seen on tape yelling and pushing a reporter who asked if Carl had any proof when he made a charge of philandering against Andrew Cumo, which Carl ended up admitting he had no facts at all. I guess because Carl is a philanderer, he assumes every other man is too. The Alaskan Tea Party candidate's body guards actually handcuffed and kept an Alaskan reporter sequestered for 20 minutes for asking questions at a public school debate -- presumably open to any voter. I guess Alaska law allows anybody to impersonate the police. I once researched a book on the Italian dictator Mussolini's tactics that turned Italy into a fascist state. These Tea Party incidents are similar in nature, with Mussolini's guards, the brown shirts, beating up and bullying citizens who protested. More recently, we've witnessed the Taliban threatening Afghanistans who went to the polls to vote for democracy, and in Iran, the citizens were beaten up for protesting the hijacking of their recent election. Will Americans have the guts to stop these Tea Party thugs from hijacking this election? I received a phone call last night, one of those robocalls with no place to call back, asking people to come down to a Tea Party rally on the steps of Carmel (NY)'s courthouse on Halloween, and to "bring your pitchforks." Now I know they're not farmers who have a few pitchforks laying around, and while they could be gardeners, the only other image that came to mind was devils with pitchforks. The image fits the Tea Party. They will not stop us from voting. I hope Profitt and the other goons go to jail for their actions.

November 07 2010 at 7:05 PM Report abuse Permalink +2 rate up rate down Replyanother thing, it's pretty common for abusers to blame the victim for the abuse. "Baby, you MADE me do it" is heard quiet often. This guy fits the mold as a woman abuser, you can not tell me he was unaware it was a woman Study most domestic violence cases and it's normally ALWAYS the victim's fault.
October 28 2010 at 3:34 PM Report abuse Permalink +4 rate up rate down Replywhat I can't believe is that some people seem to have no problem with what ths guy did. First of all this is a MAN beating on a WOMAN..he is a big guy and I'm sure weighs over 200lbs. Unless she had some sort of weapon trying to do harm what he did was NOT acceptable. As a man I find very FEW reasons for ANY man to hit a woman less known stomp on her head. And he wants an apology, huh? I guess her shoulder messed up what is now the most famous tennis shoed foot in the country.
October 28 2010 at 2:44 PM Report abuse Permalink +4 rate up rate down ReplyWhat isn't getting coverage is the video of what this woman did to provoke the situation. Before making any snap judgements watch the other video where she pushes through the crowd forcing her way past security and thrusting her sign into Rand's vehicle. Her actions where threatening and dangerous, an obvious attack. These guys are not professionals and I'm sure their adrenalin went thru the roof when they attempted to subdue her, then her disguise blond wig comes flying off. The take down and restraining actions where justified, the stomp wasn't. Valle got exactly what she was hoping for by provoking a violent reaction, she is a professional activist. During the riots at the 1968 Demoratic Convention in Chicago one of the "Chicago 8" said, "All this cop violence is great!"
October 28 2010 at 1:14 PM Report abuse Permalink -3 rate up rate down ReplyThis is the USA, Bob! We have certain rights and freedoms and guess what, they don't only apply to the Tea Partiers! She doesn't push through the crowd - she is trying to get away from the good squad that had surrounded her.
October 28 2010 at 3:29 PM Report abuse Permalink +3 rate up rate down ReplyEverytime I watch this video my blood boils. These thugs should have been hauled off to jail, this is a clear case of assult. I was taught as a young boy by my father that a real man never for no reason assults a woman, period!!! My guess is these guys showed the whole world what little, tiny, small boy parts they have, and this is the only way they can feel like a real man.
October 28 2010 at 8:51 AM Report abuse Permalink +4 rate up rate down ReplyShe tryed to ram a sign in the window into Paul. This against the law. You want to wave a sign in protest that is fine. Tea party members do not make violent acts as this woman did. Same as the rock and bottle throwers at the illegal protest. But liberals think it is ok for them to be violent. She was wrong for what she did. Profitt went to far with what he did. They both got thier 15 minutes of fame time to drop it and move on.
October 28 2010 at 7:09 AM Report abuse Permalink -5 rate up rate down ReplyThis a crime, assault period, but only tea parters are allowed to protest. Crybabys, who haven't a clue on what their crying about. But, they have the right to give them all the false information they need. The ingorance of the american voter is really sickening.
October 28 2010 at 6:37 AM Report abuse Permalink +3 rate up rate down ReplyCommon decency seems to be the true casualty in this and other similar circumstances. When is it acceptable to respond in a civilized society with aggression just because you disagree with someone's point of view? Some of the comments I'm reading are embarrassing to me as an American. They are reminiscent of individuals who would participate in a lynching and pose proudly for photos with their children while somebody's father, brother, son hung helplessly from a tree. They're the ones who see no problem with how the Native American was handled by their colonizing ancestors. After all... "them savages was on OUR property." Umerukuh fer Umerukuns! God help us if evolution can't eventually breed these genes out of the society.

She purposely put her shoulders and head in the way of his foot and that caused his foot to touch her. He has a halo as do all self-righteous persons and he knows one sorry trouble-making individual every time the trouble-maker puts a head on the ground to be stepped on.
