Fox Business Lands Lou Dobbs

Having resigned from CNN about a year ago, Lou Dobbs is expected to return to cable news as a host for Fox Business. This strikes me as a very good "get" for the network.

What is more, if there were ever a moment (and a network) for Dobbs' brand of independent populism to catch fire, this is it.

And from a personal standpoint, having been a guest on one of his final CNN shows, I'm excited to see Dobbs back on TV.

While many people may differ with his brand of politics, let me say that, from a guest's perspective, Dobbs is one of the classiest hosts in the business. It has always been clear to me that his staff adores and respects him (something you can pick up on). And Dobbs is also one of the few hosts who pops into the green room to pay a courtesy call to guests before going on the air.

It's a small thing -- and I'm not saying every host should do that -- but it always struck me as a kind gesture.

Welcome back, Lou!

Lou Dobbs is married to a latino and also worked the farms with them in his early years. His views on ILLEGAL immigration are right up there with many US citizens. We want people to follow the law, apply through the 335 embasies and consulates around the world. People who show up uninvited should be shown the door. Tell it like it is Dobbs.

Only left wing extremists would call Lou a right wing extremeist. Lou tells it like it is and does not slant it like CNN other hosts. Lou is one of the few journalists on CNN that did not support a particular party as did most of CNN who supported the democrats. I look forward to watching Lou once again.

Lou Dobbs is such a right wing extremist that it will only serve to cement the hard right reputation of FOX NEWS.

Lou Dobbs was FIRED from CNN. They did not renew his contract. He has become radicalized and is now an ultra right wing COMMENTATOR. He slams people for hiring illegal aliens, and then does so himself. He attacks, ridicules, and does not really entertain. I used to watch him a lot on CNN, but something "SNAPPED" with him a few years ago, and he has been relagated to a VERY angry old man. I hope with this new show he is a bit more upbeat and productive. FORWARD thinking is ALWAYS better than saying "SHOULD" in every sentence.

You described what Dobbs had become very well bpdarling. Don't wish to rain on your hopes - but an "angry old man" who had become a "radicalized . . . ultra right wing commentator" going to Fox does not indicate that "forward thinking" is soon on the way. At least he is where he belongs.
