Don't expect to see Sarah Palin in New York, Los Angeles or Seattle when her book tour launches later this month. The former Alaska governor will skip "blue states" in favor of stops mostly in the Midwest, South and Southwest when she hits the road to promote "America by Heart: Reflections on Family, Faith, and Flag."

The 16-city schedule kicks off Nov. 23 in Arizona and ramps up the day after Thanksgiving, the start of the Christmas shopping season. Other destinations include Oklahoma, Nebraska, Iowa and Texas.

She'll be signing copies at major book outlets like Borders and Barnes & Noble as well as at retail chains like Walmart, Sam's Club and Costco.

Her husband, Todd, and other family members will join the ex-vice presidential candidate.

Palin's first book, "Going Rogue: An American Life," was a runaway bestseller. Publisher HarperCollins has described the follow-up as a "celebration of American virtues and strengths."

Here's the list of stops, according to Politico:

Nov. 23: Phoenix
Nov. 26: Tulsa, Okla.
Nov. 27: Norfolk, Neb.
Nov. 27: Des Moines
Nov. 28: Andover, Kan.
Nov. 28: Dallas
Nov. 29: Houston
Nov. 29: New Orleans
Nov. 30: Baton Rouge, La.
Nov. 30: Little Rock, Ark.
Dec. 1: Brentwood, Tenn.
Dec. 1: Lexington, Ky.
Dec. 2: Spirit Lake, Iowa
Dec. 2. Carmel, Ind.
Dec. 3: Cincinnati
Dec. 3: Columbia, S.C.

Our New Approach to Comments

In an effort to encourage the same level of civil dialogue among Politics Daily’s readers that we expect of our writers – a “civilogue,” to use the term coined by PD’s Jeffrey Weiss – we are requiring commenters to use their AOL or AIM screen names to submit a comment, and we are reading all comments before publishing them. Personal attacks (on writers, other readers, Nancy Pelosi, George W. Bush, or anyone at all) and comments that are not productive additions to the conversation will not be published, period, to make room for a discussion among those with ideas to kick around. Please read our Help and Feedback section for more info.

Well I for one am certainly glad Palin isn't coming to my town. Why waste money on extra security for her when it can be spent on something worthy like the food bank, senior citizen centers, cleaning up pollution and more. She's worth nothing.

This list of cities might feel left behind now but they should come out ahead when debt isn't seen as a national virtue. Unfortunately there are powerful efforts underway to make them share in the debt.

I think all of the Presidents in my lifetime, Republican or Democrat, saw themselves as the leader of the USA, not specific states or geographic areas. Sarah Palin would likely never care much about California, New York, Massachusetts or other blue states where the majority of voters don't like her much. It shows on her book tour. To me that makes her unfit to be a candidate let alone President. A more legitimate candidate from the right would be Romney or Huckabee. Both of them are capable of more than an empty soundbite too.

PAPI HERE

If you want Obama to get reelected unleashing his racial campaign again, the GOP should nominate Mormon white boy Romney or Chubby white boy criminal pardonner Huckabee recycles.

It is clear that Sarah Palin is only comfortable with people that like and fawn over her. Someone that aspires to be President of the United States ought to show that he or she is comfortable in a potentially unfriendly environment. Sarah, darling, if you can't stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen !

Wow. Can't believe all the media puppets on these boards. The media hates Palin so we MUST also hate Palin. If the media loved Palin so would you people. And don't say BS like it isn't true. Golly gee, how about thinking for yourselves? Interesting concept I admit. That can only mean one thing for sure. The media will pick the next President just like it did the last time.

Politico is a Joke! Oily Politics is what Politico and AOL do best. Plant the Seed and RUN. Both are Morally Paralyzed! Politico should Do a Hit piece on How the Youth of America is going to Have to pay back the DEPT for the rest of their Lives. Politico should also tell America about that 2.4 Million Dollars they had been pay by George Soros last week!

It's shocking that Sarah Palin will not go to any blue states. Someone might ask her a political question on policy positions, which at this point she has none. Plus how many people in blue states would actually buy her book. The media has become so obsessed with ratings that when she spoke at a Christian School on Wednesday and basically said nothing, CNN put her on live and labelled it as BREAKING NEWS. What a Joke!!!.

Who cares. Is there a sane person who would buy her book? Me thinks not. When I think of these people of politics publishing their stuff, It reminds me of Mein Kempf, Adolph Hitlers biography.

Uhm, it has been reported that Ms.Palin is obsessed with making sure Bristol wins on DWTS; any thing she does has an ulterior 'money' motive. Besides, the reality show has to be successful, doesn't it? This is free advertising disguised as a "voice for the people. And what do we already know about those who do reality shows - Amazing.
