It is highly unlikely that Obama will take unsolicited advice from the hyper-partisan former House speaker and depart Washington for most of the rest of 2010. But Gingrich made the case that Ronald Reagan, who had a rocky first two years in office, often escaped Washington to ride horses and clear brush at his California ranch. Gingrich calculated that Reagan spent a year or so in accumulated time at his ranch during his two terms. "I think it is very important that the president slow down," he said of Obama. The name of the game appears to be to criticize, criticize, criticize. Don't work together in attempts to review/revamp/edit, modify or improve upon, just repeal everything! We are like crabs at the bottom of a totem pole, struggling to make it to the top by pulling everything down in our path. The rest of the world struggles to improve by educating their masses and increasing modern technology. Inevitably, our bigotry, hate, and struggles for individual power and recognition at all cost will cost us all.

November 17 2010 at 3:08 PM Report abuse Permalink +1 rate up rate down ReplyI'm actually shocked at what Gingrich said. He actually paid Obama a compliment. I also think Newt should take some of his own advise and reflect on his past also. Maybe it's time we all do it.

November 17 2010 at 3:56 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyNewt is right in his presentation. America will have a clear choice 2012. President Barack Obama's view of what America should be or what it has always been for over 230 years.

November 17 2010 at 1:44 PM Report abuse Permalink +4 rate up rate down ReplyI agree with Mr. Gingrich 100% and I hope he throws his hat in the ring in 2012 for the Republican nominations for the next Pres.
November 17 2010 at 1:21 PM Report abuse Permalink +3 rate up rate down ReplyI agree with this advice. Obama needs to step back and reflect. Get his thoughts and ideas together. As far as Gingrich is concerned whether you like him or hate him this man's brain is like sponge. There isn't a topic or statistic that he isn't well versed in and could debate anybody under the table .

November 17 2010 at 12:46 PM Report abuse Permalink +4 rate up rate down ReplyDont Count President Obama as a loser in 2012. Remember 194? Republicans take Comgress and Senate and in 1996 Bill Clinton rebounds with a convincing electoral college win. Events and happenings change from time to time. It is not that I am an Obama backer I am a Republican.
