In the film, a voiceover describes Ashtiani as a "prostitute" and "adulterous woman." Her jailed son also appears in the program, in which he plays the role of his father in the reconstruction of the alleged crime. So does her lawyer, who claims that he and her son had been taking orders from Mina Ahadi, an Iranian human rights activist who has publicized the case internationally.Let's trade Ashtiani for Mummia.

Personal attacks (on writers, other readers, Nancy Pelosi, George W. Bush, or anyone at all) and comments that are not productive additions to the conversation will not be published, period, to make room for a discussion among those with ideas to kick around. Please read our Help and Feedback section for more info................ this is an infriengment on my right to free speach i have been an AOL subscriber for ove 20 years and now you want to pratice censorship,,,bet this wont be posted either
December 14 2010 at 12:24 AM Report abuse Permalink +3 rate up rate down ReplyAs bizarre as this all sounds, it is consistent with the Islamic mind set where men rule and women are subjugated to less than dog status. What people need to understand is that women are property in their minds. The men have the right to do what they will with them. If a man even thinks his wife, or daughter for that matter, has done something to dishonor him, he can put them both to death, many times by his own hand, without any factual evidence. It is a misogynistic society, where men have all the power and that's how they want to keep it. They resent outside intrusions into their male dominated utopian society. That's the way it has been for thousands of years and will continue to be. They will continue to hold onto their antiquated laws and beliefs dispite the modern worlds protestations.
