This train of thought predictably led to predictions about those daunting dames whose flames burn on and whose status (and status updates) we will surely be revisiting in the months to come. What was the purpose of this article other than demean strong women who may or may not have political aspirations.

January 02 2011 at 6:24 PM Report abuse Permalink -1 rate up rate down ReplyIn Bonnie Goldstein's article "Women to Watch in 2011" she refers to Kate Middleton, Prince William's fiancee as "one uppity commoner I fear we will see and hear far too much of in 2011".
That seems to me like a very uncalled for description of Kate, a lovely young
British girl.
I would like to know what problem Bonnie Goldstein has with "commoners".
I would much rather hear talk about a legitimate candidate for high office like Condoleeza Rice...intelligent, reasonable and creative...and could represent the conservative side of things, much better than soundbyte Sarah and her brood...as for the 'not a witch'...she's just as addicted to the self promotion of her own train as Palin...with even less intelligence and less credentials...
please, oh please can some legitimate conservative women come forward instead of the wack job Palin...
Palin will be watched but she will not be nominated for president.

January 02 2011 at 10:52 AM Report abuse Permalink +13 rate up rate down ReplyWhy would you even mention Kate Middleton...especially as an uppity commoner?
She seems to be a very sweet young woman who is in love with William but I doubt will have the same following as princess Diana.
Willow Palin? I don't get that one either.
Fiorina, Whitman and O'Donnell I doubt will have any comebacks.
Mary Forbush Glasgow
I so admire Opra in her accomplishments but am glad her name was not mentioned in the group of women to watch out for in 2011. Thank you
