Our New Approach to Comments

In an effort to encourage the same level of civil dialogue among Politics Daily’s readers that we expect of our writers – a “civilogue,” to use the term coined by PD’s Jeffrey Weiss – we are requiring commenters to use their AOL or AIM screen names to submit a comment, and we are reading all comments before publishing them. Personal attacks (on writers, other readers, Nancy Pelosi, George W. Bush, or anyone at all) and comments that are not productive additions to the conversation will not be published, period, to make room for a discussion among those with ideas to kick around. Please read our Help and Feedback section for more info.

The so-called "space race" provided incalculable benefits to the U.S. and humankind in general. Palin's attempts to re-write history yet again is now beyond laughable. Go read Animal Farm, folks, if you want to see where many modern conservatives (they're not true Republicans) want to take you and me and this country. Orwell's novel was the play book for the previous administration.

Where is the ORIGINAL WORDS FROM BACHMANN? Matthews loves to distort. Look up her words for yourself as played on a local radio station. Where is the National Organization of Women against this man's hatred of women?? When Bachmann gave her rebuttal the other night she was talking to the Tea Party camera and teleprompter, CNN was also videotaping her but she didn't look at them. So Matthews true to form ridicules her again. How about critiquing her ACTUAL words and leave the hate mongering. Matthews is suppose to represent his network and when his network represents distortion it diminishes the media.
