It is best left to the people of those countries to overthrow their system if they are not pleased with it and choose what they want. Our best interest is to stay out of muslim issues and take care of ours that currently are pretty dismal. They have a longer history than our democracy of rulers that were bad and good. Who are we to impose what we want the whole world to be? That sounds autocratic to impose our own beliefs on others and really goes against the priciples of Democracy.

NOW Egypt may get a free election and the only opposition to Mubarak is the Muslim Brotherhood , neither is good for America . And neither will be good for Egypt. Just what the world needs ... more instability in an already unstable community of states in a vital area of the world spectrum . Which one of our long trusted allies will OBAMA and the USA either not stand behind or piss off completely (Turkey)Israel, Jordan , maybe saudi Arabia. Lets not forget what we bring to these people and these regions and why we are there and why we do it . Its not a tunnel that we live in ...the real world is not always good for all. We need to think as real people living in reality not a world made of paper and flower petals. There is a bigger picture in this book . Be careful what some ask for just bedcause it will be good for them and seem right it may not be good for you or the majority .

Why should President Obama go that far? Those are Egyptian internal affairs and the Egyptian people and Mubarak should strike a bargain. Of course President Obama can invite Mubarak to US as refugee. We welcome Mubarak here. President Obama statement was right to say that Mubarak should think of undertaking reforms. Of course TEA Partiers were behaving like Cairo protesters. This is especially when some TEA Partiers spat on Black lawmakers e route voting for Obamacare.

WE NEED TO SUPPORT AND HELP THIS COUNTRIES TO EMERGE FROM THE DARKNESS OF OPPRESSION AND TO ALLOW THEIR PEOPLE TO GOVERN IN A MANNER MORE PRODUCTIVE AND PROGRESSIVE. THIS WILL ALLOW THE U.S. TO TAKE A LEADING ROLL IN HELPING THOSE COUNTRIES IN NEED AND OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH THE MUSLIM NATIONS AS A COUNTRY THAT CAN BE HELPFUL AND STRONG WITHOUT USING IT'S MILITARY MIGHT.

January 30 2011 at 2:12 PM Report abuse Permalink +8 rate up rate down ReplyReality eventually sets in, but until Americans realize what is being taken from them, corporations will continue with record profit greed and will not reinvest a dime on American soil. Outsourced jobs mean low productivity in this country. We have become a service economy of administrators and technicians. No jobs, low wages and welfare dependency creates an economic vacuum. A small business making solar panel's, if profitable, can be outsourced. A 55-year-old is unlikely to retrain himself as a biochemist while unemployed, unable to afford outrageous insurance premiums. A government that allows American jobs to be exported should not be serving this nation. Right between the eyes, the Obama gov. will not reinvest in America. Winning the future cannot cannot earn you a dime nor can rhetoric that surreptitiously deceives America.
