Bahrain Massacre: White House Responds

Our New Approach to Comments

In an effort to encourage the same level of civil dialogue among Politics Daily’s readers that we expect of our writers – a “civilogue,” to use the term coined by PD’s Jeffrey Weiss – we are requiring commenters to use their AOL or AIM screen names to submit a comment, and we are reading all comments before publishing them. Personal attacks (on writers, other readers, Nancy Pelosi, George W. Bush, or anyone at all) and comments that are not productive additions to the conversation will not be published, period, to make room for a discussion among those with ideas to kick around. Please read our Help and Feedback section for more info.

The massacre at Bahrain is unbelievably cruel. Western media doesn't cover this at all. CNN not reporting anything out of it.

This is certainly different. We've got protests in other parts of the world, but the way it has been crushed in Bahrain is really cruel.

shooting ordinary citizens, driving cars over them, besiege the hospital, kill doctors for no reason, abduct people and take them to saudi... opening fire at face to face distance? and the photos are so tragic...

I don't know why the media is just not covering this... that's also surprising. But after knowing who controls the news, it's not at all surprising. Sites like abna.ir and bahrainmassacre.com presstv.com are covering it ... the other media is just misleading. I'm surprised at all this.

Obama seem to be able to call for the allies of america to step down but where is the call for others to step down. Libya is shooting thier own people, where is obama telling thier leadership to step down. Time to stand for freedom in all countries now just the allies of america.

Who is the driving force of these revolutions in Egypt and elsewhere? Believe it or not it's Obama. When US elected a person with both black and white blood as president, the whole world came to terms - that anything was possible. The whole world had known for years that Blacks, as former slaves, were second class citizens in US and had been put down by their fellow White Americans. But after US elected Obama as President, the world saw that White Americans had changed - that is they see people as people regardless of race. That is Americans can give anybody power to govern and can take back that power regardless of race. That is what has happened in Egypt and that is what will happen in other Arab and other countries now ruled by force. World nations now know they can give anybody power and take that power as they want. Let's thank God what we have Obama as our President. Freedom will now rule the world.

In an unprecedented move, apparently one that has never happened before, nearly all U.S. Ambassadors to all nations have been called back to Washington for a summit conference this week.

"Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton convened the first ever Global Chiefs of Mission Conference. This will be the first time U.S. Ambassadors will gather from around the world simultaneously."

WHY???
