Indeed, the RNC remains deep in the red, disclosing to the Federal Election Commission that it's carrying nearly $22 million in debt. It has $2.1 million cash on hand.
The Democratic National Committee is also struggling with debt as the 2012 election cycle looms.
The DNC reported it is nearly $17 million in the red, with about $9 million in the bank, according to CNN.
But the DNC also had a profitable start to 2011, raising $7.2 million last month.
Wonder how much of the DNC funds are due to the raiding of pension funds that the taxpayers will have to bail out, once again, if Obama is elected to a second term.
