An article by the magazine on the conclave website states: "Her visit to India has generated immense buzz in U.S. political circles over if she will run for president in 2012. Palin is reportedly shy of traveling abroad but her keynote address at the India Today Conclave 2011 is seen as an attempt to articulate foreign policy where she was found wanting in her 2008 bid for V-P, say some experts."Thought everyone here might find this daily blog of Palin in India useful.... http://indiareloaded.tv/article/sarah-palin-india...
@Snyder... East Indian is dated.. We were Indians before the Indians in America.. lol take light
I'd like to see a poll of East Indian Americans to see how they feel about Palin for president - generally this group is highly educated and I can't see them voting for someone whose strong suit is criticism instead of analysis/solutions.
I can see Sarah being welcomed in India, but not for any serious reason. I'm sure she's getting paid to speak.
The India trip pales to her scheduling low level speeches during the first Republican primary debate on May 1, and the Minnesota event in October - missing CPAC was minor compared to missing these two main events (esp in Oct when all candidates should have announced). This in addition to avoiding Iowa and New Hampshire. The common denominator with these four appearances is unscripted crowds - all will be looking for plans and answers instead of general statements about how things "should" be - voters are wanting to know HOW to make the country better.
Heaven help us when Sarah Palin is considered qualified to follow in the footsteps fo the Dalai Lama, Colin Powell, Nelson Mandela, and Bill Clinton. They could bring in the entire Palin family tree and not have 100th of the intelligence or presence of any of these people. Sheesh.

Does she even know where India is? Could she even find it on a map? Maybe if she looks hard enough from ALASKA she'll see it way over there.

March 07 2011 at 8:39 PM Report abuse Permalink +4 rate up rate down ReplyA taste of Palin should keep people in India from sending thier kids to America for a higher education.
March 07 2011 at 7:12 PM Report abuse Permalink +14 rate up rate down ReplyYou mean they are still sending their kids here? Guess they haven't heard about how poorly our kids do, when pitted against world academia.
March 07 2011 at 7:29 PM Report abuse Permalink +9 rate up rate down ReplyNo Palin wont be bad mouthing the Pres. or America in a foreign country. She does not do that even in this country. Can't say that about OBAMA when he was a senetor or carried it into his presidency.

President Obama did when he was a "senAtor AND carried it into his presidency??? I was mad at him for NOT badmouthing her! I wanted him to! He never has...NEVER! Worst thing he has said was when "the Boston police acted stupidly!" And that was just "acted" didn't call anybody names. You gotta show me where he's bad mouthed ANYBODY!
March 07 2011 at 6:55 PM Report abuse Permalink +11 rate up rate down ReplyLet's see if Palin bad mouths the Pres. of the U.S., while in a foreign country. If she does we can call her Sarah 'Fonda' Palin. Maybe then she'll stay in India. They can have and keep her.
March 07 2011 at 5:23 PM Report abuse Permalink +9 rate up rate down ReplyYou mean the way the President bad mouthed the entire American citizenry? Not likely.......who could surpass that bit of "audacity?"
